The Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of e-commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The role requires an in-depth understanding of e-commerce business processes, technical architecture, and integrations, as well as strong leadership skills to guide teams in delivering complex e-commerce projects. The tech stack includes but not limited to D365 for the ERP and POS, Logic Apps and Boomi for integrations. Responsibilities:
Lead a group of SFCC Developers to deliver SFCC customizations and projects
Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions
Act as a hands-on technical lead, actively participating in the development process, including writing code, reviewing code, and debugging complex issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical designs
Develop comprehensive technical architectures that meet both short-term and long-term business objectives
Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and follow best practices and standards for SFCC
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, including conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to architectural standards
Oversee the implementation of customizations, performance optimizations, and system improvements
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
Lead integration efforts between Salesforce Commerce Cloud and third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, Marketing, CDP and payment gateways
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
Experience working with D365 for the ERP and POS, Logic Apps and Boomi for integrations.
Proven experience in architecting and designing large-scale SFCC implementations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams
Expertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis frameworks
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks
Experience working with version control tools like Git and build/deployment tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket
Team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both internal and external teams
