Salesforce Technical Architect - (SFCC)

The Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of e-commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The role requires an in-depth understanding of e-commerce business processes, technical architecture, and integrations, as well as strong leadership skills to guide teams in delivering complex e-commerce projects. The tech stack includes but not limited to D365 for the ERP and POS, Logic Apps and Boomi for integrations.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead a group of SFCC Developers to deliver SFCC customizations and projects
  • Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions
  • Act as a hands-on technical lead, actively participating in the development process, including writing code, reviewing code, and debugging complex issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical designs
  • Develop comprehensive technical architectures that meet both short-term and long-term business objectives
  • Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and follow best practices and standards for SFCC
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, including conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to architectural standards
  • Oversee the implementation of customizations, performance optimizations, and system improvements
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead integration efforts between Salesforce Commerce Cloud and third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, Marketing, CDP and payment gateways
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Experience working with D365 for the ERP and POS, Logic Apps and Boomi for integrations.
  • Proven experience in architecting and designing large-scale SFCC implementations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams
  • Expertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis frameworks
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks
  • Experience working with version control tools like Git and build/deployment tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both internal and external teams
