Cybersecurity Engineer

The Cybersecurity Engineer will work with utility clients to assess their cybersecurity needs,
design and implement solutions, and provide ongoing support. They will be part of a team of
experts who are passionate about protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats. They will
also have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and develop their skills in a fast-paced
and dynamic environment.
  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and audits for utility clients.
  • Design and deploy cybersecurity solutions based on industry standards and best
  • practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for cybersecurity issues.
  • Monitor and report on cybersecurity performance and compliance.
  • Research and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies

Responsibilities
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk analysis and gap assessment for utility clients
  • Develop and document cybersecurity policies, procedures, and plans
  • Configure and install cybersecurity tools and systems, such as firewalls, antivirus,
  • encryption, authentication, etc.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning, review cybersecurity frameworks, and incident response
  • Train and educate utility staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in the utility sector
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GSEC
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, NERC, etc. 
  • Proficient in cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
